Typically, local police forces operate mobile speed cameras on roads that are deemed high-risk for accidents and speeding. ![]() These undercover vehicles are simply existing speed vans that have been re-wrapped and painted in a matte grey colour, rather than the usual bright orange and yellow markings, reported Hull Live. Police in Northamptonshire are currently testing so-called 'stealth vans', which could potentially be deployed to other areas of the UK if the trial proves successful.
